About Bees family

Original Bee

The name and characteristics of the bee shrimp are due to the band (belt or annular) strips of black  spots on its body that look a bit like bees. Some may also have white patches in addition to the main pigmented patches.

Bee Shrimp mains  are found in several strains of Bee shrimps,” Diamond Bee Shrimp”, “Princess Bee Shrimp”, and “Triple Line Bee Shrimp” etc.

Since populations in the wild original bee are easily classified or named different species of  bee shrimp due to reproductive isolation caused by terrain,In fact, it is possible that only the phenotypes are different, but the genotypes are basically very the same. But now the latest classifications are  based on gene sequence sequencing, making it easier to truly define classifications. When expert updated information is found, we will update  it on the Website.

Because the pigment gene for banded color spots is more dominant than related genes in other native shrimps, the phenotype is not easily replaced. So it takes several generations to replace the function; but its contrasting color patches are also the source of many beautiful features, For example ,”Taiwanese bees” have inherited the banding gene, resulting in more intensely contrasting color patches.

However, the “Taiwanese bees” are not classified into the original bee family. It is a large family of its own. Please do not cause confusion and refer to the “Taiwanese bee”.

White Bee & Golden Bee

Originally, the white color on the bee shrimp, here I want to give this white color a simple name called “White Matter”, which means the white patches covered part of the shrimp. Carefully observe the” White Matter” on different shrimps. Most of them are along a certain pattern on the shrimp. The distribution of organs extends and grows, such as the rings or spots of bee shrimps. This involves relatively advanced physiological knowledge of shrimps. If you don’t want to remember and understand it, just forget about it. In short, because some shrimps are born with a lack of pigment patches, so This white phenotype gradually emerges.

The  early white shrimps were used by breeders and breeders to hybridize with the common Red White shrimps at that time in order to extract more white-covered parts (White Matter)of the shrimps. When the Red and White shrimps became popular in the early stage, because the Red and White shrimps were popular at that time, Even broken A and B grades are very expensive, so much so that white shrimps once cost 500 USD up(history price) for each.

It is mainly used in the breeding of red and white shrimps. The white shells are thicker and cover a larger area. The golden shrimp is a bit white with the light yellow or orange color of the original shrimp.

It is currently believed that the Taiwanese honey bee is a genetic mutation caused by the hybridization of “Crystal Shrimp” and “White bee”.

Show White(Bee)

Show White The name and appearance of this shrimp have caused a lot of debate. Some people say that the thick-shelled White Bee is the Golden Bee shrimp, while the other group says that Snow White is PWL.

In fact, a kind of shrimp has more than one way of evolution in terms of genetic expression. It depends on the way the breeder purifies it. The bloodline dispute is often due to the difference in the substrate used by different breeders to initially stock the shrimp.

Snow White can be regarded as a branch of the white bee in the broad sense, but since different names are used, different meanings must be shown, otherwise it will only increase the confusion.

The definition of Snow White we use here is that it does not contain the Taiwanese bee bloodline gene, and is derived from the white covering of PRL and PBL shrimps gradually replacing the whole body, that is, PWL, the highest grade SSS grade Snow White with thick shell, naturally has its collectors and enthusiast.
