I am Carbon Chen ,a small business founder of iShiaMi Aquatic from Taiwan, got a lot successes & records in the Ornamental Crystal Shrimp industry in the past 

  • Was the first one of the world to  complete the international shrimp contest of the three continents in person ( America, Europe and Asia).
  • Also the first person to successfully travel with shrimp internationally for a month with15 international cities, five countries.
  • And one of our Falcon shrimp had participated in and placed in three international competitions within two years, not only got a lot of medals but also published many of self-bred shrimp in international contests.
  • The only one to be awarded “the Best Friend” Award by the organizer of the American International Contest.
  • The record holder of the most medals-winner in  the U.S. International shrimp contest, in 2016 2017 for two consecutive years
  • The record holder for the most medals-accumulated in the 1st to 3th American International Contest.
  • Three years judge qualification of international contest.

    

      How "I Love Shrimps" from zero

      When I was in about 7th grade, I saw this transparent dwarf shrimp (Native Neos shrimp in Taiwan) for the first time in a stream. I was immediately attracted by this beautiful crustacean. Unfortunately, I did not have enough ability to keep them alive.

      Later, my mother and I owned our first aquarium , and I became a serious aquarist, loving angelfishes and South American short Cichlids the most.(Fishes which will take care their babies are my favorite.)

      In 2014,My child had trouble in concentrating. I recalled that when I was a child, I could maintain good concentration and observation skills by watching the ecology of the aquarium, so I took my son back to the hobby of aquariums and started breeding beautiful colorful shrimps. Gradually, I was deeply attracted by the beautiful colors and stripes of ornamental shrimps.

      I built my first shrimp room in a very simple semi-open space look as garage. Two years later, in 2016, I directly signed up to participate in the American International Ornamental Shrimp Contest without any competition experience. I participated in 8 categories, won 6 medals, was the most medals holder and also a candidate for the Shrimp King Award.

        

      “iShiaMi” i.e. “I Love Shrimps”

      Now Created “iShiaMi” as own brand name;

      ”iShiaMi”, which is “I love Shrimps” in Chinese pronunciation .

      I started to love shrimps from zero with nearly 10 years of experience in breeding shrimps, and became an international judge in international ornamental shrimp contests  ; if all this can be started from scratch, then so can many people.

      Now we have over 800 aquariums in Taiwan and have created our own brand iShiaMi,and work with our us partners to set up an e-commerce website ,hoping to promote it to the U.S..
